I’ve written extensively about the language around the law of attraction, and how misleading it is. I will reiterate that gurus who promise effortless manifestation do not know what they are talking about.

Change requires work. You can work smarter. Yes, there are shortcuts. However, you still need to do some work.

For example, you cannot just visualize your partner, and POOF! they appear. You have to go out into the world and mingle, or cruise a dating app. You have to take some kind of action towards your goals.

Write Down Your Goals

You need to have a plan of what you want to achieve, and how you are going to do it. Write your annual, and month on month, weekly and daily goals on paper. Writing down your goals makes you more likely to achieve them because the action of writing forces you to be clear about what you want, what your targets are, and how you plan to get there.

As you clarify the goal, you begin to imagine what it would be like if it were a reality. This sends new signals to your subconscious mind, and helps you to manifest your desires faster.

If you don’t know every step to take to reach your goal, that’s okay. Perform the action immediately ahead of you. Once that’s done, new actions and new things to do will become clear. You will receive more thoughts, intuitions, ideas and inspirations on your plan as you continue to work to achieve it.

Self-Discipline for Self-Actualization

The word discipline can be taken negatively. It sounds punitive. However, improving and maximizing your self-discipline as much as possible will ensure that you continue to make continuous progress towards your full potential, goals and dreams.

Self-discipline is not difficult to achieve. If you think about it, then you’ll realize that millions of people are highly disciplined, so you can be too.

Being more disciplined can be a struggle for many. I’ve certainly struggled with it at times! Fortunately, there are hacks and shortcuts, and we’ll explore those now.

Self-Discipline Hacks

Being disciplined can be hard work and a struggle. Some helpful self-discipline hacks include habit-stacking, affirmations and creative  visualization.

Try to sandwich new, good habits in with older, more established habits. This is known as “habit stacking,” and is very effective. Your new habits form more quickly because they piggy-back on deeply ingrained neural networks from your established habits.

For example, I meditate every morning, and then I shower and get ready for work. I wanted to add exercise into my daily routine, so I sandwiched the workout between the meditation and the shower. This helped me to establish my exercise habit (and I’m not an exercise enthusiast, to put it mildly) quickly, and relatively easily.

You achieve self-discipline by effectively wiring it in your unconscious mind, while taking action. You can use daily affirmations and visualizations to naturally increase your motivation.

These send the right signals to your subconscious mind, so that it is wired or programmed for discipline. Then, you do the things that need to be done with less struggle than just powering though on willpower.

Successful Action Fundamentals

Keep your commitments, and use your time effectively. This will happen more easily when you take steps to wire your mind effectively through affirmations and creative visualization.

If you plan to do something, then do it. This creates a good habit. Not keeping your commitments, or procrastinating creates a bad habit.

The more you procrastinate, or avoid uncomfortable action, the harder taking those actions becomes. Not only does procrastination strengthen an inaction habit, but it also increases your anxiety because the uncomfortable task will not go away. In fact, often tasks have deadlines, and delaying will increase your anxiety the closer the deadline looms.

To maximize the effectiveness of the actions you take, try strengthening your aura, doing power focus sessions and getting organized. These are all fundamentals to taking effective action, and forming new habits successfully.

Beliefs and Habits

Habits can come from many different places. Most habits are deeply rooted in your beliefs and self-image. Beliefs are simply thoughts held in your subconscious mind. Self-image comes from beliefs about yourself. If you have bad habits, examine your beliefs about the world, and especially about yourself.

For example, many people who try to quit smoking have a hard time. Their bad habit has formed over years and decades. They identify as a smoker, and this makes becoming a non-smoker very challenging.

Hypnosis has proven to be very effective in helping smokers break their habit. That’s because hypnosis communicates more directly with a person’s subconscious mind, and helps them to summon the resources they need, when they need them. In the same way, hypnosis can help people to break any bad habit.

Another wat to change habits is to send an alternative childhood to your subconscious mind. Imagining your past as you wished it happened, or with the resources you wished you had can make you more successful in the present. This is essentially a creative revision of your life, and your past.

To do this, imagine what your childhood would be like if you had the habit you want or need. Over time, your subconscious mind will accept the revised past you’ve given it, and your habits and behaviour will begin to change accordingly.

Learn to Critically Examine Your Life

It’s important to critically examine your life. Sit down and examine your life honestly, and see where you can make improvements. This will allow you to notice which bad habits still exist. Then, you can respond accordingly, always becoming more positive and empowered.

Along with your habits, critically examine your thoughts, words, and feelings. If you think, feel and say bad things, then bad things will happen. If you feel, say and think good things, then good things will happen. That’s the law of attraction.

Fortunately, you have the power to choose your thoughts, feelings and words. You can choose to focus on the negative or the positive. How you focus your attention will determine how you think, feel, speak and act, so choose wisely!

Give to Receive

Be of service to others and be charitable. Give gladly, without expecting anything in return. This will increase the abundance in your life because you are declaring your abundance through your actions.

Giving to others is a fantastic way to put yourself in an abundant position. The act of giving implies that you have more than enough, that you have so much you can easily give.

Giving feels good. This will boost not only your subconscious feeling of abundance, and will help you to come up with new, good new ideas, motivation,  and possibly even additional revenue. This only works if you are sincere, so be sincere in your giving, and don’t expect anything in return.

Summarizing Actions for Manifestation

You must dig where the gold is. You must have a clear vision of what you want. You need to strengthen your aura, and your focus. Reprogram your subconscious mind with affirmations,  creative visualizations, hypnosis or guided meditations. Live in the moment at all times.

Good things happen from a position of mental strength and control. Understand why things aren’t working out when they don’t. Then, try new things, and learn more, to combat these situations. Learn as much as possible, and never stop learning.

Persist. It pays in the end.
