Some people might argue that subliminal messaging technology is complicated, and can’t be thrown together in DIY fashion. However, I disagree. There are some simple steps that will help you make basic subliminal message recordings at home.

You may ask yourself, “Why make recordings, especially when there are so many ready-made ones available?” Well, you might want to target a specific need, or use a particular musical track. Using your own voice can be particularly powerful to your brain. Devising your own recording adds that personal touch that you can’t get anywhere else.

Here’s what to do:

  1. Specify the reason for the recording. What do you want the recording to help you achieve? What do you want to change? What’s the ultimate goal behind making the recording in the first place? Pinpoint the specifics as much as you possibly can. This will help you to fine-tune your messages for maximum impact.
  2. Write positive affirmations that fit your specific goal. Affirmations are generally short, positive, and written in the first person. If your goal is to lose weight, for example, then your affirmations might resemble these:
  • I easily maintain an ideal weight.
  • I naturally choose healthy fruits and vegetables.
  • I love drinking water.
  • Exercise boosts my mood.
  • I am getting slimmer every day.

The more positive affirmations you write the better. You want to be able to influence your subconscious mind with as many positive and motivating phrases as possible.

Then, put your affirmations to work on your behalf. There are two different ways you can do this:

  • Choose the 5 strongest affirmations, write them down, and repeat them to yourself every morning and night.
  • Record all of the affirmations and listen to them at any time of day when you have a few minutes of spare time.

Repeating affirmations out loud to yourself is effective. Recording your affirmations and listening to them is effective. Subliminal messages are also effective, but require a touch of finesse to create.

To make your affirmations subliminal, you will need to be able to layer a masking track over your subliminal messages. Then you need to mix the volumes correctly so that your message is subliminal (under the threshold of your conscious hearing), but still effective.

Don’t worry. It’s all simpler than it sounds.

How to Set the Volume

Volume settings for subliminal recordings can be tricky. If it’s too loud, it’s not subliminal. If it’s too quiet, you run the risk of not getting the benefits you’re after.

I set the volume just loud enough so that I hear a faint whispering sound in parts of the track. Having some slight whispering reassures me that the vocal track is there and doing what it should, but it’s never so loud that I hear what is being said.

It’s a delicate balance. I suggest you experiment, and find a volume that’s perfect for you.

Free DIY Subliminal Message Creation Tools

There is a free app called MindWire that I love using for affirmations. This app is in the Google Play Store. By mixing the background volume and the vocal track just so, you can very simply create a subliminal recording. As an added bonus, the app uses brainwave entrainment audio as the background track. Entrainment audios can put your mind into a more relaxed and receptive state, so you receive benefits more quickly and easily!

If you want to record your affirmations in a more professional manner, you’ll need to use some form of audio recording software. Audacity is a free software that is perfect for recording and mixing audio. It is ideal for making subliminal messages because it allows you to layer customized vocal and musical tracks together, and mix them up, etc

Pro Tip: Save your recording as an Audacity file, even if you think it’s perfect. You can export it as an MP3 file to play on any device, but there may come a time in the future when you want to add additional affirmations to it. Saving it in this manner gives you the option of changing or extending the subliminal recording at a later date.

Use the export function in Audacity to save your recording as an MP3. Then, transfer your MP3 recording to the medium of your choice (CD, phone, MP3 player, etc.), and listen to it at your leisure.

Where to Get the Masking Tracks

Creative commons has loads of musical tracks. You can search for free music online, and you will find tons of options.

If the recording is for yourself, and not for commercial use, you can even use your favourite tune, or an inspirational piece of music that you love. If the recording is for public or commercial use, then please read the licensing permissions carefully.

You can purchase the rights for tracks or albums. You can also hire someone to create a track for you on Fiverr.

How to Listen to Subliminal Messages

Best times for listening are when you’re not busy doing something else, and while you’re sleeping. Listen while you’re relaxing to give the messages a chance to make their way into your subconscious, without outside distractions making things more difficult.

The final crucial ingredient in the process is patience. If you expect to read your affirmations or listen to your messages once and completely change your life, you’re going to be disappointed. Your subconscious mind needs time to absorb the information and reprogram itself to your new way of thinking, and that takes as long as it takes. So, be persistent. Keep listening, and your dedication and determination will be rewarded.

If that all sounds like too much hard work, you can take advantage of hundreds of ready-made subliminal messages using the very latest technology. Check online to explore the wide range of sessions which have been specially designed to address almost every area of your life.
