It is said that laughter is the best medicine. I believe it. If you don’t sh*t, you die, and if you don’t giggle, you die. Catharsis originally meant “a violent purging of one’s bowels. Now we use the term to describe emotional release. In either meaning, catharsis, releasing through laughter, is very powerful. It’s good to remember that life is all about the sh*ts and giggles.
When pursuing a goal, there can be a single-minded focus. This is good. It is necessary.
However, it is also necessary sometimes to take a step back, and to enjoy life. By releasing our grip on our desire, we create space for the desire to materialize.
Release the Pressure with Fun and Laughter
I don’t mean to say you should waste your time binge-watching frivolous media, but it can help take the pressure off, and help you relax. Your mind needs to relax to fully integrate what you learn, so give yourself the gift of some chill time.
